Newcomer / Intro Stuff in the cargo hold of a stored ship...

Hi everyone,

I have several ships now. In one station I have a Asp and Cobra. I use both for diferent reasons. Until now I've never thought to leave cargo in the hold of either ship when I store it. If I do, will the cargo stay safe and sound in the stored ship? If not that's a big shame. Now that I think of it, that feature could be quite useful if it works.

If no one knows the answer, maybe I'll try it and see with the cheap stuff I don't mind loosing.

Well, that was simple to test.

When I tried to switch one item in my cargo hold, it told me I needed to empty it first.

I'm kind of disappointed! I would have liked to store stuff in the hold of one ship and use the other.

This is not allowed because there is a general rule that storage or accumulation of cargo of any type is regarded as a game mechanic that would be too open to exploitation. Buying a cheap ship and stripping it down to make a storage unit would lead to cargo hoarding and distort the trading system.
