Everyone has a right to complain and I'm not perfect by any means, however the utter self entitled, arrogant, ignorant, rude selfish people that has come flooding onto this forum is shocking. So rude to the people who have made this game. I'm amazed the Mods/ devs don't just lock half of these threads and be done with it. If i ran the forums I'd do just that.

I used to work with the general public both in retail then as a security officer. Manners maketh the man as they say. I simply refused to deal with anyone who behaved in such a rude manner and ask them to leave. if they didn't leave... then they would be politely escorted out of the building. If they tried it again, well it's an advantage being 250lbs and 6'2''

Get a grip you people, you nasty obnoxious individuals and get some perspective. Be nice to people and you wil find most people here will respond far more favourably to your complaints.

You can't please all of the all of the time only some of the people some of the time. Things arn't to your liking, well blimy it's an imperfect world. I'd take the locking key to half of yer.

Welcome to every mmo forum Ive ever been on. I take it as a sign that the game is on track for a healthy first year.

I just thought I'd pop in and lend 2 observations:

1. Yes, and unfortunately it's a relatively new phenomenon on this forum
2. Your autosig perfectly captures the essence of your 6'2" frame, 250 lbs of weight and security guard experience:D

'side' doesn't matter. The fact that many people complain in the way OP describes is just sad. I can understand that people think the game isn't what it could be. But there's no need to yell etc.

I agree...the amount of elitist claiming that its normal to lose months of progression for one mistake is absurd. Im not one of the many complaining cause i am being carefull to always have insurance and fuel when exploring. BUT id for sure leave the game if was to lose everything. Yes its called Elite: Dangerous but the danger should be limited at some point. I agree that we should be punished for making mistakes but taking away your entire progression is bad design. For those who played mmos like World of Warcraft or any other mmos with significant progression would find ridiculous to lose you character along with years of achievements and rare stuff gathering. I like the game and look forward for the future x-pacs. That being said the game needs polishing and core design work in order to become the game it was meat to be.

Half the people ranting on any kind of online forum would never raise a voice when being face-to-face.

It would be nice if everyone had manners and behaved in an "orderly" fashion. But then again you can't stop it. So my advice is just ignore the ranting and whatnot. Just pours oil on the fire is what I think.

It's the internet, people here have far less inhibition than they experience in the real world, sadly.
The fact that "what cometh around goeth around" as they say :p also means that the obnoxious whining and Q_Q'ing on the internet is a self perpetuating spiral / positive feedback loop.
I hope my (I'm 22) generation, well, no actually all people would learn some manners XD both here and in RL

True. Spoilt, ignorant, rude come to mind. You can tell which ppl have followed this game from the off and know what it's about and those that impulse bought without reading up on it.

It seems these forums started changing late in Beta. While the helpfulness factor has gone down (there is still plenty of good, you just have to sift through a lot of stuff to find it), the entertainment factor has skyrocketed. The Newbie sub was pretty good for a few days, but even that can get a bit chippy now.

Wow, you tell them, you! Sounds like those pesky people in retail business got your nerves spiked up a bit haha :)! Also, you are on the internet what did you expect? When we get frustrated on the internet we just type what we think and how we think it. Sometimes it comes out quite rushed and there is noone in front of us to make us keep our temper down ;). The tone of your note is quite rude as well. If you can get angry, such a balanced individual after working in retail as a security officer, then they must less balanced individuals obviously will have problem coping with their temper. ;)
