how do you filter by star type? I don't see that option, but I've seen many references to it in posts here.
Stupid question about the Galaxy map

You have to put it into Map mode (instead of Realistic) on the third tab and the you get a drop down of filters to choose from (Allegiance, Economy, Star Type, maybe some others I don't remember out of game) - pick one to get a list of relevant options to select or not to create your filter.
