Stuttering/jumpy

I just watched some footage from 2 different videos of alpha testing and the vid's themselves are extremely jumpy and stuttering..freezing and locking up every few seconds for a few seconds...is anyone else experiencing this? is it like this in-game? or is this an idiosynchrosy of twitch-tv?

It's definitely got to do with Twitch. All videos I have seen on Youtube are absolute smooth, I am quite impressed with how well the game performs.

It's the Twitch streaming, people have been saying the game runs smooth as butter.

It could be your internet connection too. If you are on a fast connection eg fibre optic, like me, then its all good even on twitch.tv.

I've got Kerrash on twitch on PC and Alpha on another - the twitch does stutter from time to time.

But playing the alpha in my experience is smooth - no stutter.

I'm SO glad...

We've got genuine 60mb broadband. It all moves seamleesly and one of the prolbems I'm having is I keep getting distracted by the beauty of some of the backgrounds. Not the second one, bloody great rocks I kept hitting, but glimpses of deep space in the first and that beautiful planet in the 3rd. No, not killed him yet, not got even close. Really need a hud simply as I've not got great eyesight and am never sure I'm hitting him. Still, that planet below is stunning to look at!

Another 2p worth - I've not long finished streaming (it was fantastic :D thoroughly enjoyed) and although a few people in chat were saying it was lagging and stuttering, it certainly wasn't like that in-game, very smooth infact.

Just watched parts of the stream back and no stuttering occurs, so I'd say Twitch is acting up on different people's browsers at different times.

More tomorrow!

There is a problem with Twitch in that some of the EU servers that you connect to are duff. There is a fix for Chrome / Firefox browsers to force you to the US equivalents and they work just fine.

It's twitch been like this for ages, if you want to see fluent videos You tube videos will be better but remember you tube reduce the graphics to 720p even if the uploder place it in 1080p

Wait till the last mission and you'll realise you need a quad core. Dual core will not cut it because I have a very fancy gfx card but still to upgrade my processor which is a really cheap nasty AMD dual core. So make sure you have a Quad or really top end dual is my advice. But that was there in the minimum specs ... so is to be expected.
