Sub-Forums for PS4?

Early days maybe - Dusty. But how do we go about getting sub-forums for the PS4 section.

I was thinking:

General Discussion board (already here)
Explorers
Groups
Tech (all the tech questions on PS4)

Just used on what I see discussed din the section that are perhaps best separated from the more PC related boards on the main forum.

Thoughts?

I've been thinking about this but from a different angle. I found myself wondering, "When do I post to the PS4 forum vs. the Dangerous Discussions (and its sub-forums) when it comes to everyday ED gameplay?" My first thought was that everyday gameplay is discussed "over there", and PS4-specific things are discussed here. Having spent some time over in the Xbox forum, I'm not so sure it's this cut-n-dry.

Soooooo moderators.... How does it work, at least in theory?

I raise this because, and no offence intended, the PC bunch get a bit snobby about the fact they have been playing for more than 2 years so, I have found, if you raise a questions which is a valid questions you often get salt in return because it has been discussed before by the PC crowd and they don't want to discuss it again. We, the PS4 crowd will have probably all of the same questions, but I would rather it didn't become a topic of harassment.

Then there are the PS4 specific questions: Will this / that worked PS4 or PS4 Pro? How do i...on a PS4? etc. and of course PS4 particular groups and group discussions...etc.

ps - there goes Acid melting the walls of the topic container ;)

acid by name, acid by nature ;), plus it wasn't me this time i was asking for a sort of off topic area for general elite dangerous sillyness and high jinks. cos seriously after a long day in the cockpit, i want to unwind and have a laugh and some witty banter with friends.

P.S. this is almost definitely maybe billl's fault,

Oh, you'll get PC users appearing in the PS4 sub-forum (Such as myself, who will also be buying a PS4 copy) and you should be happy to have us knowledgeable snobs around to answer your questions! You're late to the party, but I'm glad you've... Wait, you're going to be another month!?

we are happy for the help, but we will be hiding the silver while you are here ;)

People can use the existing subforums. Otherwise the forum discussions would be too divided.

I'm primarily a PlayStation / console gamer, but been playing Elite: Dangerous on OSX / PC since 3301, and happy to answer questions.

As for being snobby, and having to answer the same questions again, I would say that this sub-forum has some very *cough* enthusiastic posters who don't both to read the threads that already exist in this very PS4 subforum.
There's repeat threads about PSVR; beta; HOTAS; account transfer etc which have already been answered, but people cant seem to read back a single page or use the search function.
While I may repeat answers again, IMO it's politeness to look to see if something has been answered already before asking again.

If there's new PS4 or general questions, then sure, I think the PC users (finally) getting PS4 Elite will be happy to share our knowledge: just be willing to listen.

And as said already, Xboxers haven't got a full subforum, so no chance for PS4ers.

To be honest the mods should be pointing to the answer of the dupe and locking it. Mods don't seem that active on this forum.

I get what you're saying about repeat posts. I've been here long enough to see them and think, "Wait, I posted that just two weeks ago." I'm also new enough for being taken to task for asking answered questions. My problem is that the search feature is crap. Sometimes it works when the question is obscure, but often it will return 10,000 threads that have nothing to do with what I'm looking for. It's WAY quicker and less painful to just ask the question, even if someone gives me grief. For every one person giving grief for repeat threads, there are others who are patient and either answer the question or point back to original thread.

This is not a bad thing given the amount of negativity on the PC threads - or at least - was negativity - it has calmed down a bit. But No, disagree, there will be thigns that are PS4 centric and there should be sub-boards for them - at the very least groups and technical questions / answers. (I was pushing it with the others but you never know till you try...)
