The last two days I've been playing, when I submit to interdiction, I still take damage just like if I fail to escape. This happening to anyone else?

Throttle down to zero, and I get the message that I'm submitting, but I still take damage.
You still have to play the "Chase the bullseye" mini-game if you are not at a safe disengage speed, otherwise you suffer damage. I believe that this is part of the mechanic of the current interdiction model (which I hope someone looks at and changes soon). And has happened on several occasions to me, including when the Interdiction routine was introduced, whilst I was in a Clipper. I have even set my throttle to zero, received the "submitting" message and won the interdiction mini-silly-game.
This happens to me occasionally, like once out of every ten submissions, and I get between 1%-5% hull damage. I've only really noticed this happening since I bought myself a Lakon Type 6. What ship are you flying?
I was getting this too, but if you keep on evading like normal (aiming for escape vector), while submitting, you should take no damage.
This, you need to chase the target still and not be off centre.
