Several of my RL friends are getting involved in ED, and it looks like I am going to take care of getting them started. I'm really torn between teaching them how to engage sandbox mode with all these new mining and trading metas, or pretend that it rains and show them how to ply the superconductor trade: 'Wow, that's 30k profit per run. Soon, you'll be able to kit out your very own Adder!'. Maybe I'll just take them exploring...
I think the state of the economy in this game is absolutely regrettable, but it's not like everything was fine until LTD showed up. And atleast, mining is a little bit involved now, the same can't be said for some older moneymaking metas, like the practically risk free multi-million payout medium-distance smuggling missions. I've been whining about the economy since the vertical slice beta, and all the great things in this game is what keeps me here, whining, instead of moving on to another game. Like the amazing universe. I think I will take my friends exploring. In all this time, I still haven't got to see Barnard's loop up close...
