So, this probably has been mentioned already, but here it goes anyways...
First off, why is there no ability to target a subsystem directly? E.g. why can't I just press 'x' to target the power plant? Instead, I have to cycle through forward or backward to what I want. I think that should be a definite option within the Controls.
Secondly, it'd be really nice to have a targeting indicator on the scanner/radar screen showing:
1. Which ship is being targeted by a wingman, maybe even by a specific wingman?
2. What ship has already been generally scanned and what the status of it was.
The last item on that list, is pretty much a no brainer. If you have 20 targets within your scanner range, there's not a way to currently tell which ship has already been targeted and scanned by your standard scanner (not the Kill Warrant Scanner). There's also no way to tell which ship had a wanted or hostile status [on the scanner]. Instead, pilots need to skim through all the targets again manually to find out which ones were wanted or hostile.
It'd be easy enough to replace the squares or triangles with other symbols that represent various statuses of targets.Maybe even an H for hostile and W for wanted...?
Just some thoughts.
