I decided to try my skills for stealth docking should I ever decide to try my hand at smuggling, not that I ever do that... it's funny how fast everything can go so wrong.
Since I got distracted trying to avoid the ship in front of me, I barely noticed the warning in time to try and clear the station. Cutting it close is a bit of an understatement really.

(Also: I didn't even notice I had moved the throttle all the way back into reverse trying to slow down!)
And that kids, is why you should always check whether you have authorization to dock!

See, this is what happens when you don't have any heat sinks. For one you didn't have to turn off all those modules. Better yet I think I'm gonna make a video showing how I do exactly this.

I did have. You can see I dropped one in this very same video. I am just not sure how these "stealth" mechanics work, so I throw a couple of them together just for good measure.

Hmm? He had heatsinks. However I don't bother with subsystems either when smuggling in a viper, I just come in hot...

yeah I noticed after watching it again, my bad. But yeah it's not that hard. Start at a reasonable distance drop one a 5km and another as you're entering the gate. No need to drop shields or engines.

I just come in fast and silent and timed to avoid the circulating cops. But you do have to take care lining up - I splatted myself all over the station wall yesterday because I forgot how bad the cobra manoeuvres at full throttle! Lesson learned! Again! :eek::)

That's the only problem with not using silent running :)
