Hello Commanders!

I have been playing this game for a couple years now. I was super disappointed when they announced that Odyssey and other future developments for consoles wasn’t going to happen.

That being said, I am still a huge fan of mindlessly flying around the galaxy and earning/buying what I can.

My question is if the servers get taken down, will I still be able to play in solo mode and interact with NPC’s for bounty hunting etc?

I don't want to hang up my wings and I can’t really afford to buy a super high end gaming pc. I am more than happy to cruise around in my own little solo world exploring what I can.

A clear answer on this, is at the moment not given, Elite needs a constant connection to their server to request information for example the missionboard. I guess when they really cut down the servers the game wouldn’t be playable.

(At the moment we had a bug with the mission board and there is a workaround on pc, which mentioned that you must switch to another ,,mission server,, to get access to the missionboard)

So tinfoiling here,
No server at frontier no game at home.

Yeb, but hey we had a buff for the Thargoidswar, you must gambling which station didn’t had the bug but you can play it.

Yeh, you can run Horizons on a laptop with a moderate GPU - I used an almost 5-year-old MacBook Pro (dual booted to Windows, of course!) with a Radeon 5300M before I got my desktop sorted.

It’s only Odyssey that necessitates something really beefy,.

Odyssey runs okay on a 2 year old PC I bought for about 300 quid...

I built the PC I play Odyssey on in 2012. The only upgrade I have made since then is sticking a 2060 in it after my old graphics card blew a couple of years ago (just before prices went mental with the pandemic as luck would have it).

I would not describe my PC as 'really beefy'. At all.

Odyssey is good, personally I'm loving it.
This war things, on foot settlements are great as well.
Everything looks better performs well since update 14.

For me remove legacy option, no needs
