Sucks for him....

I had completed my business at an outpost in Obamvidas and launched from the platform to prepare for warp back to V1688 Aquilae. On my radar, I noticed another human player was there with me somewhere, so I decided to look for him and see how his night was going. I looked around for a while, but was having a hard time finding him, though I knew he was nearby according to my radar. Then, I found him....he was wedged in the platform, nose first, wiggling back and forth like a fly in a web. I admit, I laughed. I guess my question is, if that happens and you can't get out, what do you do? Self-destruct? Or do you submit a ticket and hope to be relocated?

I had this happen to me. Autopilot went mental and wedged me underneath the entry point. I pressed CTRL,ALT,DEL to end the game without saving. Went back in and respawned stood still at a safe distance from the station. Sold the docking computer at that same port when I docked!

I just read a thread where another guy was using auto-docking and he got stuck too. I bet that's what happened to the guy I saw.

Pretty much 10 :D

I was rotating along with the station and couldn't get pointed the right way round, I was sure I was a goner :D

I once saw someon trying to dock in my pad upside down, to this day i dont know whether that was an npc or not. He was still nearby grazing against he hull the wrong way up when i left.

Was stuck twice in the toaster... I'm relogging instantly when this happens. Don't wanna blow up cuz of crap like this :p

I launched from inside a starport once, and I held the upward thrust button too long, which caused me to ram the top of my ship to the inside of the starport. So, I over corrected to get away and rammed the side of ship near the letter box exit, knocked my shields off and caused hull damage. I was beginning to panick, thinking to myself, "Not like this! Not like this!" Finally I was able to exit the station, then re-requested docking and went back in for repairs.

The docking computer in the original elite used to go mad too. I think it was intentional. Every so often it would slam really hard into the sides of the coriolis station opening, and you would hear the grinding noise as your hull wore out and all the cargo spilled out the back. Very rarely, it would impact bad enough to kill you.

when I first brought a Viper after being in a Lakon Type 6 I held the up thruster too long and slammed into the opposite pad upside down, I had my types 6 wedged in behind the toaster in beta and ended up destroyed by the station lol funny cos i was 'blocking the slot' according to the station but was outside the toaster with my nose hooked in the last bit.I could see the slot and the station guns could not hit me, the security vipers on the other hand made pretty short work of me lol

clipped ships in my cobra and viper when hammering it through the letter box causing me to spin and gind my way out of the station a few times

Best suggestion to help reduce the damage is buy the best shields you can (A prefferably)
