Newcomer / Intro Sudden death?

I experienced strange behavior of the game. Today, 40-50 minutes ago, one player put me off the hyperpace and we started fighting. Althoung I am "Mostly Harmles" (clean) and he was Deadly (Wanted) I beat him down to 1% ( with my 2beams, 4multicannons and hudnreds of hours played 30 years ago... :)))) and continued with firing from my multicannons. At those time my ship-hull was at 70% (really seventy per-cent). Both ships had shields off, his ship was not facig me at all. Instead of credits of his bounty my ship suddenly exploded... I did no notice any message about torpedo or incomning rocket. I think it was mistake in a game or is in this remake even EnergyBomb??? It only can explain this strange behavior... His name was DuncanSomthing(Mc?)Webmaster or Webster?? I did not noticed it well, cause I saw red due the angry those time. :-((( Instead of his bounty I had to pay another 530 000 Cr for new ASP with equipment.

There are no energy bombs.

Could be latency issues, could be cheating, could be a bug. I'd put in a report for it and move on.

Worth noting; it is against the forum rules to name and shame commanders. You should not mention them by name.

If you have Nvidea card, enable shadow play (or aftermarket program). That way you can immediately save the last 5 minutes (or more) of gameplay for instant playback.
The next time something strange happens, you can review for what happened and even make it available with your report if need be.
