Newcomer / Intro Sudden FPS drops

ED will be running fine, maxing out at 60 fps which is where I have it locked, when suddenly fps will drop to around 10 and stay there unless I restart the game from the launcher. This only happens when I'm on a planet, either in the SRV or on foot.

Insights much appreciated.

You may be better off asking about this in the Xbox/Playstation/PC forum...

However, I did think this had been optimised now - I used to see it when exiting the concourse to go back to my ship or during approach to a settlment. For the former, just launching into space returned the frame rate to normal and, for the latter, it calmed down once I'd landed.

If you are using a PC, what specs are you running?
