After playing the Alpha release for God knows how long.. I have come to the conclusion that y'all at Frontier have great respect towards the gaming community. As a long LONG time fan of the RCT franchise the hiatus following RCT 3 I began to wonder if another game, one that exhibits a true realistic environment and does cut corners when it comes to making an extra buck.
So I started this post off by expressing my great appreciation towards Frontier's strive to make realism a primary focus regarding continual development of Planet Coaster.
SO I wanted to suggest that you develop amusement rides that are viewed as nostalgic or retro in a sense. By doing so one has the ability through the game to create amusement parks that where common in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Suggested rides would include:
Transport Rides- Von Roll Sky Ride; Monorail; steamer (from rct3)
Rides- three wheeled Ferris wheel, Intamin Observation Tower, the rides from the Wild expansion in rct3, Log Flume
Coasters- Arrow Suspended Coaster!, Classic Wooden Coaster
Building Themes- Worlds Fair 1964, Modern Epcot (1980s), Goggie Architecture.
These are my suggested nostalgic rides that where staples so major parks from 60s through 90s.
Realism is more than just graphics and gameplay it is achieved by paying homage towards towards historic advances in amusement technology which exploded during the suggest decades (50s-70s)
Looking forward to Alpha 3!
