Suggesting a graphical improvement for screen freeze on exit from SC into glide mode.

Currently when a ship reaches the DROP line, exits SC and goes into GLIDE mode the screen freezes for several seconds, then begins moving again, in GLIDE mode. Instead of the game/ship freezing completely which is jarring I suggest a "slowing-down" effect where, as the ships hits the DROP line it appears to slow down over a period of 5-10 seconds and then continues moving once it enters GLIDE mode.

The length of the freeze is hardware and network dependant rather than a design choice.

It takes time to load in planet side assets and sync up instances, this is the breif (or not so breif) pause you see.

I've seen both extremes, drops into glide that take 20sec+ as well as instant drops. I wish it could be fixed or changed, but given the way the game works it seems unlikely.

Exactly. You'll note that there is only ever a minimal delay in solo mode. And I've had instances in MP, where I went to glide in on a very-likely-occupied planet in open, and I got disconnected completely. Logged back in back at the point that I entered supercruise, and had to fly all the way back.
