During the weekend I managed to meet up with another member of our squadron and he took me through winged exploration lessons.
I find it cumbersome, to say politely. Both need to be in the same system before the honk happens, then we can both do the FSS, then I forgot about mapping, tagging and all, each thing behaves differently.
Please, just make it very simple - if winged, we share credits, no matter where each wing member is. Tags stay as non-winged; the one to scan a body (well, turn in data) gets the tags, unless both really were in the same system when the scan or mapping happened.
The demand for both to be in the same system (though waiting for both to arrive before the honk happens is just awful) seems ok when the system has like 70 bodies, but far too many have like 5, and then it turns out all are stars and the system is explored with the honk. Nothing is wrong with the compositions of systems, just the exploration mechanics for wings is off.
As far as credits go... I'm sure even a four wing exploration team has nothing on mining. The chance each finds an ELW during the session is very small - and even if... nothing on mining.
