Suggestion about fleet carriers.

In my case (I am a big boy <49 years old>) passionate about space exploration and with all the time I spend working and in other activities, I do not have 1,000 free hours to dedicate to extract low temperature diamonds, vacuum opals, etc., and reach the five billion credits required (and more than that amount to cover the other expenses) so I think Frontier could release a DLC at a reasonable price to buy a beautiful Fleet carrier, because I want to enjoy a long trip with it and so many other things that they can be done but that high price has become prohibitive to me.

Thanks developers and player community for considering my proposal.

CMDR Daniel.

This isn't the first post I've seen like this. Why not board one of the dozens of Carriers leaving on expeditions each week? You get all of the benefits, you don't have to pay, and if you don't have time as you said, you don't even have to log on for weeks.

But if once u undock u are risking being stranded. Surely it wouldnt matter as one would be using exploration ship anyway but then boof - u are no longer exploring with carrier. Also its hard to enjoy space and relax while worrying/ being uncertain whenever ur carrier will dissapear.

OP: Apparently latest update boosted mining meta even more. It was never 1000h, but now its even less. Meaby worth reconsidering? As for purchasable ship - It would create very dangerous precedence. I vote no.

If Frontier goes down this road even a little bit, they will be going back on their word of not making Elite a pay to win.

OP, if you really need a fleet carrier and don't have the time, I suggest "convincing" another commander (by whatever method) to do a carrier based money transfer operation with you. I believe there are services like this out there for you.

Well, some people can grind 365 days a year, 8 hours a day accumulating billions of credits, talk about Chinese gold farming, is that better?

Frontier won't ever offer game assets for purchase I fear. At least that is their stance so far, and I hope they will never change that, to be honest.
The idea of fleet carriers was actually to be an asset for those filthy rich long-time players. The only thing that killed off that statement is how much we earn by mining.
In the end, you can do it the way it was originally intended and save up credits, and once you're there, you can buy one.

I absolutely hate the offline upkeep, which I don't really mention anymore because I kinda lost the right to complain since I bought a fleet carrier. :D
Once you have one, you can just invest a few hours of gameplay to hoard stuff on your carrier and sell it. I got about 2 billions from a few hours of mining, storing the diamonds on my carrier and then bulk-sell 1000t for a very good price. Upkeep is cared for for two years by about 6 hours of gameplay stretched over a few days.

Thank you commanders for your valuable responses.

It was just a suggestion but I know it will never happen, you guys are right.

Furthermore, CMDRs that have spent hundreds and hundreds of hours in mining would explode full of hatred and disappointment (And they would try to lynch me ha ha).

And thanks for the idea of traveling in one of the existing FC but I wish to go at my own pace and to the places I prefer at that time, without that freedom it would not be the same.
