Suggestion: Access bookmarks from navigation tab

A small quality of life improvement.
Since the galaxy map is slow to load at best wouldn't it be nice just to have a bookmarks button on the main navigation tab?
Make it a toggle so that when pressed the system destination list is replaced by your bookmarks.
Thoughts?

Can't understand why this wasn't the first part of the bookmarks feature FD developed.

Would be nice, especially with nearest to farthest sorting. Would really really help me since I started bookmarking exploration points of interest.

Some really good suggestions lately. This one is spot on. Also I like another suggestion to preview engineer mods effect in ship before applying.

Keep it up. Someone should compile a collection of the really good QoL suggestions.

I do like the idea. So I can't really down it. The only draw back is people who are bookmarks happy. You know the ones that use 150+ bookmarks. I think the only way it could work is have a limit of 20 25 that are easy access on the screen so it easy to remember the locations.

150+? I wish. I'm maxed out and have nothing close to that.

OK, here's the thing that REALLY annoys me about bookmarks. They've done the ABSOLUTE minimum in terms of organising the list, namely, sorting them alphabetically (so I use prefixes like "ENG:", "RACE:", "TOURIST:", etc to group mine appropriately).

Why (oh why oh why) didn't they spend about an extra 45 minutes on the code, and give us the ability to categorise our bookmarks in sub-folders:
