There are a lot of systems out there with distant companion stars with things to get to (looking at you Hutton Orbital and even Dalton Gateway)
I noticed now in the 1.4 beta (and probably implemented sooner, heh I never noticed) that when you open system map on a distant destination star, and select a particular station, you can set navigate waypoints to it, so that the jump sequence will lead you to the star system, then to the station itself. Pretty cool for those that bother.
An inspiration hit me then... what If I target Proxima Centauri in system map as my destination from Sol...? Would I then jump to Proxima instead of Alpha Centauri A? Sadly no.
So there is my suggestion. Be able to choose which star to warp to from out of system, by selecting the star in the system map.
Make it so the star has to be scanned (in ships database) before an out of system jump to it may be allowed.
It seems there is already added the in system waypoint navigation, so how much more work would it be to add this extra little part?
