Suggestion: Autopilot Jumping Module

Hi.

My enhancement request is a new module that would act as an autopilot for making mulitple jumps. The AI for system jumps already exists, and I DO like the interdiction mechanic and don't see any reason why that shouldn't still be a thing when making multple jumps,
so why not meet in the middle and make a utility module which you can set to AI pilot for you while you jump on the path set in the Galaxy Map.
It would be fired and turned off by a key press or fire group or other left/right hand menu once you have your path set, or when you engage your FSD drive with a path set.
All it would do would be to orient you in the direction of the next star (if behind an object would navigate around it), charge the jump drive, and jump, arrive and point you to the next star etc, etc. If you're interdicted, then the autopilot would disable and you would be given a warning noise and you would have to resolve the interdiction before jumping again.
It wouldn't be cheaper to use or more efficient than the current jumping system, it would just allow for a bit more of that relaxing "i'm a space trucker" feeling without having to reposition over and over.
Last night I went from SOL to HIP 16710 in around 100 jumps, during that time, I was trying to study and listen to music, but kept getting interrupted by stupid suns every 40 seconds, and spending 20 seconds reposition just to hit the jump key and afk while it charged. I was interdicted twice, and the npcs were definitely following me because they kept messaging me. Instead of battling, I ran away, because it was an annoyance rather than an action point for me, knowing that my core gameplay was actually avoiding Suns and Jumping.

Just something I've seen while lurking and decided to make a post about it. Hope its something interesting enough to be implemented.

I think it's definitely something interesting as many people have highlighted the total crippling-boredom of deep space travel. What about the time you're logged off? (you're supposed to be logged off when you're studying, right? :p) So what about having the option of either parking your ship "overnight" until you next logon or continue the trip in "auto-pilot" mode (essentially transforming into an NPC for the duration of travel) and when you logon again you would either be at the designated location, have the "ship destroyed" screen (of course, everything has to have a risk) or jump straight into a life threatening situation when you logon next. This could all depend on factors ranging from your reputation, part of space you're flying, crew, additional "insurance" etc.
