[Suggestion] Cargo Jammer, Falsified Transponder and the concept of illegal ship components

Just a quick suggestion, but what about the inclusion of engineered cargo racks that manifest scanners can't see through. The mass still shows, so each full slot of cargo returns ***UNKNOWN*** but that's it. This could keep pirates off your back, but is also highly illegal in many systems, due to usefulness for smuggling. Expanding on that last concept, what if some systems are super uptight about engineered components of any sort, or even stricter systems consider armed ships illegal? The last type would be the absolute highest security systems, allowing relatively safe zones for newer trade/passenger/mining pilots.

Additionally, What about electronic warfare tech, like utilities that can transmit false cargo or weapon readouts, or even utilities that let you appear on sensors (in supercruise, at least) as a completely different ship. Again, I imagine these would be illegal in high security systems, but outside of those, are considered fair game.
These would allow bounty hunters to appear as weak traders and bait pirates in, or weaker ships to appear stronger than they are, to bluff their way out of a fight.

All very interesting concepts that I would love to see in the game, but I think there are other priorities that development time might be better spent on things that players have been asking for a long time... atmospheric planetary landings for example, or space legs. Rep for the idea anyway but I just think we need some of the core gameplay improved before adding cool little things like this.

This would cause quite the surprise for Commander-Pirates thinking that their scanners would read a Type 9 and interdicting the ship only to find they're facing a Corvette.

However, when it comes to NPCs it's going to take quite a lot more rework and recoding given how bloody infallible they can be about things.

I like it as this would be a heck of a foil against griefing.

I would love a manifest blocker. Like something that would send a virus to who ever scans your cargo and just shuts off their ship like the Goids do. And a higher class (letter) module affect the wing too (if in range, for people who are picky about balancing detail)

Pirate bait seems it would be hard to do for coding. Maybe. I am just a player. I don't know the limits of the developers and I won't pretend to.

I like the idea of expanding smuggling, but if they are illegal themselves, what's the point of hiding illegal stuff inside illegal containers? Or even worse, legal stuff inside illegal containers...... ?

If it's only against pirate scans, I would prefer to have ECM or Chaff affect scanning. Of course, police would not take kindly to it, so you get an instant fine, and they scan you again anyway.

But yeah, more additions to smuggling, or pirate baiting, or stuff like that would be nice!
