[Suggestion] Cargo Racks

Before you can say, "what the heck are you high on Perci?", hold your horses. What I mean is something that actually makes sense.

Long story short, suggesting all (perhaps not all) ships to get, non-game breaking, little (according to relative ship size) addition of fixed CORE INTERNAL CARGO RACK :eek:.

Well, basically this idea comes down from many seemingly nonsense situations. For example like, someone may choose to (and usually does) make use of their limited internals to try to maximize their efficiency for a job at hand, like blowing up other players ships, making exploration runs or so on and end up having no cargo racks at all. Not even a space left to remove and hang your coat in there!

Considering the sizes of our ships, even the tiniest ones being actually huge, they seem to look like they could surely cough up enough space for a small room somewhere in between all the tight packed modules to safely fit a tiny hexagonal box of cargo or two. Especially one might encounter an issue where a ship fitted for tourists or a small eagle already tight packed to extract bounties from RES sites is lacking even a single t of space for cargo and will end up not being able to finish some mission here and there because they offer a cargo reward, thus making the player going through a completely unnecessary hassle of parking the said ship in hangar, ripping out and storing a module and buying a cargo rack in its place, finishing that said mission only to sell those materials back to a station or jettison them, whatever, then going into hangar again to sell that cargo rack out and replace it back with the original module.

On top of it, with the amount of interesting objects increasing in number, like valuable thargoid pieces or frozen popsicle human pods floating around or whatever shiny or wibbly wobbly timey wimey thing the game might bring for us in the future considered, or even a situation where a future addition of such interesting pickable object on some dustball 12k ly away from the bubble being discovered by a commander who simply ends up unable to pick that up for that reason considered, I think such an addition of a dependable, fixed, trusty core cargo rack in ships would not also be brilliant, but would also make sense, as well as serving to protect the mental sanity of pilots. If I discovered such a new object somewhere near Sag A*, you can be assured that I would have attempted to stuff that wherever possible, inside my canopy on top of my dashboard if necessary with no regards to safety regulations of unstrapped object in the cockpit may dangle all over causing discomfort, hole in canopy glass or fatality in some situations. Or just imagine a fully combat kitted FDL (74m lenght, 52m width) hanging around Maia drops down on a scene to witness victims of a massacre flying around uncomfortably in their pods. Since I completely disregarded I might want to scoop anything in at all, and since there is "supposedly" not even enough space left to put down a cup of milkshake in that ship, this FLD will have to wave goodbye to the said people in distress. Can you imagine how flagrantly discourteus that would be?

Oh just dont get me started on having a cargo hatch and dropping down the scoop to only see CARGO FULL thing out there.

So background aside, that would give us a nice little addition to the game on many aspects without really breaking any balance or changing anything at all, which I assume to be with only a little coding work? Many more aspects like, at the top of my head, the situation where one must compliment a SRV hangar with a cargo bay, a troublesome situation on internal-poor ships, because if you for some reason happen to take a box or two cargo off a surface you won't be able to load it to your ship! Or or... hmm. Being have to compliment limpet controller with also again, a cargo rack or even two which presents a bit more problem to the smaller ships than the bigger ones, or ends up completely locking some ship out from using it. I certainly would refrain from sacrificing 2 slots on a FDL or similar gun for that purpose to get the advantage of gathering materials from ship wrecks easily in CZ/RES/Whatever.

So, all is left to balance what ship gets what. For example let me try. Just laying down numbers as an example, lets say that;
Sidewinder gets +2t fixed space
Eagle gets +1 (or perhaps none as a unique, for being the smallest combat oriented ship, but its better if it does)
Cobra gets +3 for being the multipurpose of its tier
Cobra mk4 gets +4 or maybe +5, getting more unique. Well, Cobra mk4 gets a lot of hate, poor boy needs all sympathy it can get
Viper mk3 gets +2 or 1
Viper mk3 gets, as the big brother to the mk3 +3 or mk3+1 and offer more variation from his little brother
ETC ETC ETC
So like generally small ships get +1 to +4 or 5
Medium ships get like +5 or 6 to +10 or something, BUT with an added bonus for T class trade/freighter oriented ships getting more stock cargo space! Woho, more variation and flavor!
Large ships get +10 to +15 or whatever, depending on role and size. And perhaps in such a way with the addition of extra cargo with the extra bonus for T class ship, the T class would get a new reason to be picked over other ships being used in same role and not end up having inferior carrying capacity, which is nonesense to start with. You know the deal.

Sooooo, hows that sound?
