You should remove the Docking Computer from the outfitting modules, and instead add it as a serial function for all ships.
Add a new line in the right panel Functions tab to enable or disable the Docking Computer.
I personnally don't use this module anymore, but it's ridiculous to see our ships being able to land alone in auto-pilot on 10g planet surfaces, but unable to do basic dockings in stations without a
cumbersome module...
