There have been complaints about people scanning just the star of a system to get their name on it and nothing else in the system.
Early on I felt the same way, but understand the various reasons now of why CMDR's do it.
I have a suggestion that might encourage commanders to scan the whole system.......Add a bonus for a complete system scan (with exception of asteroid belts).
No bonus if the system has a lone star but a progressive bonus based on the difficulty of the system. Possibly as much as 500,000cr to 1,000,000cr.
One system I entered had 88 astronomical objects. That would be an example of a high bonus system.
And if possible, also take into consideration furthest object distance from jump point.
Just a suggestion, but it would encourage explorers to slow down and scan the entire system, or move along if they are searching specific astronomical objects.
