I am sure some fellow commanders have posted similar stuff in the past...I must have read them somewhere but can't find the related topic.
I don't have the data of which ships are the most popular among commanders, but I think the truth is seeing commanders with Orca is extremely rare.
Orca, as well as the Imperial Clipper are in my opinion the most beautiful ships to ride or stare from your cockpit...
and fluff wise, this is how it should generally be...
Gamewise though, especially for Orca, apart from having a nice look, why ppl shall buy them?
I can't really find any reason. And apparently they don't. They cost loads of millions of credits (40+M), they have low maneuverability, not that much cargo space (since they are not intended for cargo, but for ppl in general).
A solution to tackle this problem is to make some special missions exclusively for Orcas/Imperial Clippers/(and in the future Dolphins)
Carry a VIP person from station A to station B....and because they are VIP, get 10000s of CRs.
Carry lots of VIPs ppl from station A to station B, and get even more.
Now that I am think, I must have read it somewhere here, same could be applied for Fed Dropship. Carry troops from A to B, get that sexy cash!
