Suggestion for Lifestreams by the Community Managers

Although I am not a spokesperson for Elite Week, they have been putting out some most excellent elite dangerous information!

One of the more sensible ideas was made recently in a life stream, which was, why dont Elite use the lifestreams to report and explain about all the 180 x 3 sets of bugs they have fixed rather than watching 2 community managers play Elite dangerous (to be honest) poorly.

There is so much more use of this space that you can make to improve the community communication and would help.

By the way, I get most of my information from Elite Week and its really good content.

if you want more information in regards to Elite week please ask me and I will direct you.

Maybe, but the youtubers already seem to do a better job... I don't really have much interest in the let's play live streams and I can't see them rattling off a list of bug fixes being much of a better replacement. Personally I'm a much faster reader than listener and I'd prefer to read the details and hear summaries - I tend to favor short, tight, big picture updates like the Buur Pit gives than the more casual style of Elite Week but I know that's entirely personal preference. Horses for courses. :)

So heres a question what would you like them to do other than playing elite to help the community? i suggested a detailed explanation of the progress they are making. I would suggest that is pretty important... and prehaps to present before an afterwards with the new interface... wow.. that would really help... before and after..

Not sure TBH. I think your idea of walking through the new interfaces would be a great addition. Maybe selected before/after or highlights of major updates? For me I'm looking for Odyssey to improve significantly before I buy and it'd be nice to wee what's coming along.

David Braben pays multiple employees to play the game (and mod, and do the broadcast coordination and scripting), and poorly. That's genius.

And the CMs all love every single part of the game, even the Apex Travel Times! It is perfect. the CMs don't use the experience to give feedback to the Dev team and relate to the Community what wasn't feeling right to them or whatever criticism they might actually have.

The CM team is marketing pure and simple. They are not trying to manage the community. They are just PR for the game (until evidence to the contrary materializes). Once a month relating on video what a 250 word post could relate in a minute, about what Devs are working towards, is just more marketing. (< edit, speaking about past and future "dev updates" for the most part, are clever marketing as there is never a full loop of communication back and forth).

I don't think Community Management means what the Community thinks it does. Or FDev. Which is it?
