The skin system of JWE3 should work like this:
about 3 unique skins/patterns (no base + pattern combination, but paint those directly onto the texture like in JWE1) per animal, with some (at least 5-6) colour options for each pattern. The movie skins should be dedicated skins indicated as such, they shouldn't be base skin+colour combinations anymore.
Just one pattern (and no pattern) per animal like in JWE2 is too little and restrictive. Plus many colours were way too similar, especially all those green skin tones. Like with many aspects, it was quantity instead of quality.
Make JWE3 more about quality.
Make the patterns distinct for each animal, so they are different enough and even if you don't like one or two, you can still choose the other ones to have a nice design you like.
