It would be funny that people are just dumping endless resources into the closest system just to get merits and ranking with a faction. 37000 and counting for Groombridge 1618.
I've seen that defended as just having fun and playing the game. It just makes the game less immersive because its nonsensical.
If the ruling power is willing to reward equally someone who buries Groombridge 1618 in garrison supplies at the cost of other players who are really trying to play the game as structured, then that needs to be remedied by the DEV crew.
if you want to pile merits on go to an expansion world or a good expansion world. Don't even get me started on the prepping situation. People don't seem to get that either.
How about no merit rewards for dumping garrison supplies where they are not needed ( anything above trigger value for fortification )?
