Introduction:
In-Game we already have Guardian Hull Reinforcements. they offer a mild resistance to Thargoid Attacks and provide a mild edge (however engineered basic Hull reinforcements can be far superior) Adding to the variety of modules that Guardian Hybrids cane expand to, I put forward a more unusual suggestion, being Gaudian Bulkheads.
Suggestion:
A new module can be obtained from the Tech broker, this is the Guardian Bulkhead. I sated that this unusual above as it will technically be numerous modules for one Tech broker transaction, this is due to the fact that Bulkheads are exclusive to each ship type (eg, you can put a sidewinder bulkhead on a corvette, or any other ship for that matter. only other sidewinders) This module will be focused on Thargoid combat, here is how it will work;
- Once unlocked, it can be found in the Bulkheads section of outfitting.
- This module carries an impressive resistance to Thargoid weaponry ( Both Caustic and basic attacks) at 25% resistance positively
- Hull strength resembles a slightly engineered Grade A Bulkhead (around Grade 3 Heavy duty) . giving adequate overall resistance but still rendering Engineered Bulkhead a little more superior.
- This Module however has a catch, it has -50% resistance to all Human Weapons ( had to have a negative somewhere
) meaning from a Open Gameplay aspect this hull is very risky choice!
Synergy Effects:
Guardian Hull Reinforcement= Adds +2.5% to overall resistance per unit as a bonus.
Conclusion:
This module would make for an interesting expansion to defences against Thargoid weapons. giving players the ability to soak up that bit more damage. it is however not a magic bullet against Thargoids or a 'god mode' you will just take less damage overall. it is especially weak against Human weapons. meaning players will have to be careful about what sort of combat they get into.
