Whilst traversing certain systems, I've received a few offers of missions from different factions. In all cases these have involved me flying to a system, meeting with a contact to get data, then transporting that data to a final destination.
I'm cool with this, of course, but felt that it could just as easily apply to other types of missions. Maybe get an in-space offer to meet a contact about an assassination mission or massacre mission; or maybe a salvage or surface scan mission, or maybe even a haulage or passenger mission. Basically, variety is a good thing, & should be embraced.
Even more so, though, is to not be afraid to throw in wrinkles for these kinds of mission offers. Maybe the contact needs to meet you sooner than initially planned.....or perhaps they need to meet you in a different location.....or maybe hostile ships have been sent to prevent you & your contact from meeting up. Things like that could really spice up these types of missions IMHO.
