Suggestion: Info Panel - " USS detected"

I don't like staring blindly at my nav panel searching for USS's. When a USS appears, cant the info panel (top right) simply tell us "USS Detected"?

While I'm at it, some kind of visual indicator whether the ships lights are on or off would be greatly appreciatd. Its hard to hear the audio cues sometimes.

I'd like an audio notice so I don't have to stare at the screen for five minutes waiting for a USS to pop up in an unpopulated system.
