I was watching Lost in Space on Netflix recently and thought that this would be awesome for a game like Elite Dangerous.
So in the show, there was an episode (*Spoilers - Episode 8*) where they have to keep in mind the angular momentum, wind speed, heat damage, etc. to get out of the planet's atmosphere. That's when I thought, damn, what if something similar is in Elite Dangerous.
So let's say (and I hope) Update 4.0 has atmospheric planets/moons, wouldn't it be cool if we were to leave the planet/moon, a mini-game similar to the interdiction be put in to play to "stabilize" our ship. If we don't point our ship in to the right direction, our craft would just burn up, we can use heat sink of course.
What you guys think?
