Module storage is awesome, and with that IMO it gives multi-purpose ships a huge boost. We can now have the modules stored to configure our ship for any kind of role, or even multiple roles at once if your so inclined to do so.
With this, I would love to see the ability to have "quick loadouts", or saved loadouts, or whatever you'd like to call them. I've seen this before in other games before, and I'd love this for Elite as there are so many modules.
How I see it working is you put together your loadout that you often use, say a cargo loaded python with a smaller power plant, etc. Somewhere on the loadout screen have a "save" likely with a name of the loadout or a slot number (limiting slot numbers would likely make this easier for programming and minimize any impact on the game). You could then have another load out, save it, and so on. When you go to whatever station your modules are seeing in, have a quick configure to install saved loadout.
This could greatly save time between changing missions as well as errors. Have you ever changed missions on a ship and forgot one module of some sort?
Just an idea
