Suggestion: Mine Launcher / Aim assist

Just an idea, would be it be helpful when equiping a mine launcher, a special semi transparent cylinder is show in our scanner indicating mines area of influence if we are to lay them out? Any hostile in that cylinder zone would be highlighted as high probability of hit if they don’t change course.

It will make mines more viable and will see more of it being used. Also maybe throw in some kind of IFF on them, so they won’t detonate on friendly :) (Referencing Nebulous Fleet Command)

Hm, mines definitely need help in this game because unless your pursuer follows in an exactly straight line directly behind you, dropping mines just means you'll need to pay some credits to restock them at your next landing, never mind that PD turrets automatically destroy any mines in the way at a rapid rate

What mines need the most is either a friend-foe-identification so they explode only into the right faces OR fact that all friendlies turn into enemies if one of them runs into your mine by accident needs revisited by devs. In that case (EVERYBODY hostile to you) you can just give up the fight and flee. Friendlies should not make you responsible and assume you attacked them on purpose. Maybe small fine is acceptable, but not more, especially when it costs nobody's life.
I really became very hesitent to use mines when I know the system police force will show up and take anything personal.
