I find it annoying when I'm in a station and looking to pick up missions/passenger charters for a particular faction, only to find less than a handful of missions available. Presently, as it is, I could fly to another station and try to pick up missions from that station's mission board as well, but I could potentially find zero missions after making such a hop.
I find it odd that since interplanetary communication is not hindered by distance, intra-system stations cannot share information with one-another with respect to mission boards and passenger lounges, especially since we are able to instantly receive DM's from would-be pirates and bounty hunters light-seconds away in super-cruise.
I would like to see the following change made: All stations within a system make use of the same mission board/passenger lounge. A commander docked at Station/Settlement A could visit the mission board/passenger lounge, and see missions not just from that station, but from all the stations in the system. Not only could they see them, but they could also accept them. The caveat being that if a mission from Station B is accepted while the commander is docked at Station A, they would have to fly to Station B to pick up the necessary passenger/commodities, if applicable. If it's a salvage mission or a combat mission, then there'd be no need to fly to Station A, but they would need to fly to Station A to turn the mission in upon completion.
Addendum:
I'd also like to see a feature added where one can go to the mission board and advertise intent. For example, a commander picks up 3 missions going from System A to System B, but their cargo hold is only half full. They could use the mission board to advertise that they are headed out to System B and are for hire (with the added possibility of being able to specify intent if desired. Cargo running, passenger charter, mining, bounty hunting, etc), the length that the ad stays on the board depends on the amount of money the commander spends. Then, as they wait, they'd get incoming messages with job offers in Station B, with the option to then accept or reject at their discretion.
