Suggestion: Module to modify transponder signature

I was just thinking about this after getting yanked out of SC by someone. What about a utility module that masks your ships SC signature to make you appear as a different ship? It'd be giving up an otherwise useful slot, but no longer would pirates take one look at you to decide whether or not to interdict. That'd pretty much be over the second they yank that Python out to be greeted with a fully loaded Cutter.

And you can only buy it on the black market to boot, or from a new engineer that focuses on them.

This would be cool, perhaps only available for ships of the same size class. so no hiding as a Sidewinder in your Conda. That would keep a deterrent effect for cargo vessels but not see everyone showing up as a sidewinder or a cutter to entice/prevent interdictions by players - thus reducing the potential for rampant seal clubbing.

that is a nifty idea and i agree it would have to be on the same ship type or maybe just change you to something like system security and not the ship type
