[SUGGESTION] More control of Sound Effects volumes?

There's probably only a handful of people who will agree with me on this one, but I, for one, would love to be able to turn off combat sounds. I get that the ship computer is supposed to simulate combat noise, but I would love to make my personal experience even more realistic by having them muted and just hearing the muffled sounds of lasers hitting my ship. In my opinion, that adds about 300% more realism. After all, there's no sound in space. :)

Is that the explanation they use to try to justify it? Audio emulators, which I believe are mentioned in Mass Effect (in 3, by Cortez in a character scene on the Citadel)? Hm, that works for the interior shots but not external...

Either way, yeah, I've always wanted a 'sim' setting for the sound design to affect a little more realism to the experience. However, I have some more prosaic reasons for far more control over sound levels; the SRV needs its own volume slider, as does the rather odd planet ambient soundbeds. Trying to emphasise wave scanner audio is currently a bit of a nuisance, whereas simply being able to control rover sound would allow a permanent preference.

I couldn't agree more. Using the SRV scanner is seriously a pain when there are all those other noises happening. A while back I posted about this in another thread and actually got attacked quite heavily for wanting more realism and more control over this, but I'm glad someone understands.
