First, I am not complaining. I wasn't careful and the station killed me because I was sloppy.
Suggestion: Move the docking approval message containing the pad information to the Message History so that it can be accessed when the canopy has been shattered.
Last night, an NPC got lucky and shattered my canopy. No big, I killed it and headed for the base. First time I had survived that particular phenomenon, so it was a learning experience.
The problem I encountered was that I missed the approval message on my way in because I had to dodge another player who was also maneuvering on the base. With a shattered canopy and the Info message already disappeared, I had no way of figuring out which pad I had been assigned other than "loitering" each of them to see if the landing schematic showed up. I got killed by not taking it slowly enough and carrying the loitering timer from one pad to another, so the base shot me when the timer expired.
That all could have been avoided if the Info history was available or if the Docking Approval was in the comms history.
