Suggestion: Naval commands for use in CZ

If pilots could give commands to the navy pilots on your side of the CZ, it would greatly improve the CZ experience. The pilots rank with the major faction would determine how much influence you have over the navy pilots. For example, a Post Captain might have 40% influence while an Admiral has 70% influence. Based on your influence level, a certain percentage of the ships would follow your orders such as regroup around my ship using attack formation X, attack my target, ignore my target, defend me, etc. Similarly, the pilot should have the ability to give orders to individual navy pilots, orders such as attach my target, ignore my target, defend me, defend my target. This would provide a benefit to ranking up and make the CZ seem more like a coordinated battle rather than a melee. If multiple players were in the CZ on the same side, the navy ships would follow orders from the higher ranked pilot for some fixed time period before allowing it to be swayed by orders from another player.

I agree. Except Id want the Admiral rank to have 100% influence, as its THE command rank. Id like the same in the haz res.

In a HazRes, your rank means nothing because the navy never operates there. Only the security force operates there. The security force is a civilian authority and they don't answer to the military.

I thought about whether the top rank should have 100% influence but that assumes that the forces that are marshalled to the CZ all belong to the same chain of command. It's possible, like in the real world, that there is more than one admiral commanding within a theatre of operation where admirals report to the commander-in-chief. In the U.S., the commander-in-chief is the president. I don't known how the command structure works in UK or other countries.
