[Suggestion] Non-monetary payments for missions.

A simple suggestion that I think would help to take away some of the alleged "grind" some people complain about (I don't find the game a grind myself, though).

Though money should still form the bulk of the payouts for missions, I do feel there is increasingly an opportunity for something other than credits to be paid out for missions.

The easiest, & most obvious, is a much more substantial increase in both reputation & influence for completing missions. This is already the case for so-called "Charity Missions", but I feel it could be applied to regular missions too. You'd still get a credit payout, but it might not be as large because of the much larger boost in your standing. I feel this could also be a great source of "payment" for coming to the aid of pilots in space (Distress Calls) or returning canisters you find at Salvageable Wrecks or PoI's.

Another possibility is that your employer/benefactor might "pay" you by giving you the inside info on a very, very lucrative job-something that multi-part missions gives us the capability to implement. This could be a massive smuggling job granted as the reward for being a low-paid courier for a criminal syndicate, or it might be the location of some extremely valuable salvage that you can legally pick up & sell wherever you want (possibly even the location of a crashed, highly experimental space-craft, for example).

A third possibility is that, with the increased customization which will become available with Looting & Crafting, your employers could offer you unique modules as payment for your work. Heck, maybe they'll even offer you a ship as a reward (perhaps one that isn't readily available at most shipyards).

Anyway, just some thoughts.

+1 on those ideas...but we won't see them until the next installment.. and perhaps not even then

Anyway, here's mine: as payment your employer could suggest your services to some acquaintance of his in some predicament you could help him out of. Not money, nor things, but the next mission, reputation heavy on complete
