But solution is simple.
There should be a binary switch 'allow joining only from friendlist', and if player will turn it on, then only people from his friendlist will be avaiable to jump-in to his ship.
In most cases it will solve a problem, if someone want to be 'open' for all players, then he should try to invite all people from the street to his house instead of in-game whining. If you are leaving your ship open to *everyone* then you need expect good, bad, and the ugly things.
