Perhaps this suggestion has already been made.

trade with aliens simply.

because it will ask a lot of work since it would require the alien bases.

Wouldn't even need to trade with them, they could just soar through the blackness and go "UUUUUUUUUH!"

It does seem a bit daft that we choose shooting as the first action. But with all of the insane pyscho NPCs in the game right now, a few more in the form of aliens hardly matters.

Maybe they can tweak the NPC portrait generator to create some alien faces. Oh wait, it already does that.

No doubt I really will appreciate this.
But there is a huge crowd waiting to kill Aliens (Thargoids) better today than tomorrow.
They will shoot those peaceful ones also.

not exotic enough for my taste , too human to be concidered alien.

the thargoids them are actually exotic when I see the pictures.


but I heard no opportunity to trade with them, instead I heard coming war stories.


I have nothing against , but a peaceful alien race not displease me.

Trading could be a thing but that depends on FD and their first contact script... are players ganna get first contact? or is it that NPC? and if its players then i can almost guarantee first contact will be someone shooting at them and first contact will be screwed but if it is a Scripted first contact then peaceful conduct could be set.

No reason we couldn't have more than one alien race. Maybe one could be peaceful and help us against the hostiles?

Yes many, if not all, hope there will also be peaceful aliens.
Perhaps the Thargoids have factions, or sub species. Some of them could be friendlier.
Would be nice for a bit of intrigue.

Not a bad idea. Maygbe have a CG deal to try to communicate with them.

My be an Alien race thats being attack by the Thargoids and we come in to help and will open trade and add in new tech for our ship or new type of ships just think FD
