As the title says, that you have to look up the data readout and then check for POIs at the bottom is a bit unwieldy. Better that once the planet has been FSS-scanned, the system map should indicate with small symbols next to the planet in the map what kind of POIs are present. This is a quality-of-life improvement that should be easy to implement.
Suggestion: Small icons near each body in the star system map to indicate biological/geological POIs

I agree. It's odd that information given to you by the FSS isn't readily marked anywhere after you've left the FSS screen (other than going back into the FSS and zooming into the individual planets again).
