Suggestions: Advertising and trying to land/collecting items from a giant fast moving/spinning space rock
Hi,
Just a couple of thoughts, although someones bound to have thought of them already:
a) Re: advertising graphics, - not that I want to turn the whole game into an advert hoarding - but I wondered if you'd approached any tech companies/fuel companies to putting adverts in the electronic hoardings in exchange for cash to help game/server development - the caveat being that they would have to radically modernise/redesign their logo to fit in with the style. I know many people will hate the idea, but as a trader/explorer surely (like the garish hoardings in the original Bladerunner) companies would still keep going even if they had to change their product? (eg.. oil to hydrogen supplies...etc..). Bearing in mind the huge number of players, it would it not make a good business case?
b) As we've had a few NEO's recently, it got me wondering if there could be some landable hunks of space rock that would contain a valuable item to pick up. If the object was twisting or spinning, it would require great piloting skills, so the reward would be comparable to the difficulty.
Brilliant game - I find it a brilliant escape for me as I work long hours as well as being a carer.
Best Wishes to everyone
