Suggestions for engaging, immersive missions (initially for PP)

So I got to thinking after I gave up PP. What turned me off it.

Was it the low pay (expenses, essentially)? Nope, I think the pay is perfect, it's a bit like working for a political party, they might enable you to GET to the doorstep, but they won't pay you to be there. perfect. Could use an option to work for factions as a merc though, taking pay instead of merits.

Was it the curtailed freedom of being shot at in the Federation etc? Nope, I actually like that. So long as it's only the resident faction that can do it to me, and not wanderers/the police.

So what was it?

The missions. Lets face it, they're...rather dull. So I gave some thought to alternative missions that would make the whole thing more interesting/engaging.

Heres an example:

Alternative preparation mission for Arissa Lavigny-Duval

Current mission: deliver 'corruption reports' TO the target system (somehow people out of system know more about local corruption, but I digress.) Essentially it's a trade run.

Alternatively: System security vessels in the system will occasionally drop out of SC. Follow their wake and catch their corruption first-hand. From there, flee with the evidence (as killing system security will get you wanted without authorisation first) to a station in system. Hand it in. Reward a large chunk of merits (25? this could be balanced with testing). Rinse/repeat.

Still repetitive, and therefore easier to implement, but far more engaging, and using mechanics already available in bulletin board missions.

Anyone else got any ideas to add? If we build up a comprehensive list of reasonable (read: easy enough to implement) suggestions, they may eventually implement something like them. Especially if we do the prep work for them...
