General Suggestions for fix engineering's.

Step 1 unlock the engineers to g5.
Step 2 do G1 engineering and your mod of choice
Step 3 Depending on the module engineered let it slowly increase its engineering with use, so a gun shooting, FSD jumping/ passenger missions ect
Step 4 Keep the we have but implement above so playing the game actually has a reward.

BGS, Give squadron control over the economy of systems controlled allow them to manage modules and invest in station upgrades or adding in new stations (would probably need a mechanic to let stations go bust and be removed). there is so much that could have been done with squadrons and BGS but all the ideas are ignored still not sure why i BGS there is no real point or gain for having control of systems, except to annoy the power play guys.
 
Slider bars to choose one result in expense of another(eg. speed vs agility) and no more stacking of armor and shield modules. Also max damage increase of weapons at 20% max. It's ridiculous the damage the modified weapons damage vs the vanilla ones.

This will end SOON (hopefully), but I agree with you: BGS is totally useless as factions are not considered in the environment (they are totally de-linked in multiple systems, and link to squadrons is worthless as well). Ofc the "political" funcion of factions, driving conflicts between players' groups can be a source of salty fun content.
 
The suggestion makes no sense. No piece of technology improves with use. At best it keeps performing the same forever, but realistically it degrades with prolonged use. I think I kinda know where this idea is coming from, but in all games that use such a system, it's character skills that improve with use. That makes sense, a living being can get better by repeated training, but not technology. Well, I guess AI blurs that line lately, but the principle stays intact for the physical hardware it's running on.

Never give players control over anything, it always ends badly.
