Suggestions For Future Dev Streams

First of all gladdened that the team are listening and are committed to bringing us more meaty streams in the future with proper dev breakdowns of what they have achieved and what they are working on, this will allieviate a lot of tension.

My Suggestion are for those streams.

- Listen to criticism as well as praise
- Use the polling feature
- Ask Why players are feeling a certain way about their issues
- Explain why things can and can't be done

What will these three things achieve that will be beneficial to the company and the game?

Listening to criticism:
- Accepting feedback earlier in the process can help direct teams towards problems before they become too big.
- There are a lot of knowledgeable players that are willing to help, use them as a resource.
- Only listening to praise and censoring constructive criticism can blind the team to the actual state of the game and fan loyalty, a pragmatic approach is possible.

Use the polling feature:
- When discussing topics on stream this is a good way to quickly ascertain if it's just a vocal minority or a feeling shared across your viewers.
- It will promote immense viewer engagement as no one wants their voice not to be heard.
- Gives the team a quantifiable metric to show to those whose decision it is higher up to take action.

Ask why players are feeling a certain way:
- This will help teams working on specific problems get to the heart of why it is a problem rather than hearing someone say "I hate this!!"
- Giving someone a chance to express their feelings reduces their frustration.
- Being ready to listen promotes a togetherness rather than an 'Us and Them' postition.

Explain why things can and can't be done:
- Most frustration is a lack of knowledge, giving a clear "No we can't do that because of X" is an answer most people will accept heartily even if it's not what they want.
- A clearer understanding of what the hardworking Devs are going through.
- A reduction in senseless debates on the forums which stirs up emotions and causes no end of divisions. A reason from a Dev is hard to argue against.

I hope you see this as a helpful solution. I am in no way advocating that we should eliminate the praise or the good things that are happening but if we carry on in a situation where all criticism is brushed off, people will feel like they are not being taken seriously and it will lead to further situations like we have now where unfortunately there is real anger and loss of trust and hope. We all wish for a return to happier times and to a situation where the community and the teams can work together to make this great game as successful as it's trying to be. We are almost there, it's been a labour of love and we all want to see it grow and thrive.

This is one of my suggestions and i hope it helps. Thank you for all the hard work behind the scenes.
