suggestions for ride queues / paths

This are that have ALWAYS screwed with me while playing with the game -- and affected or prevented enjoyment
If I seem angry, I AM.

1. ride entrances have a width of 4. Seriously who is the person that though that having different sized entrances and exits was a good idea. Do you not realize that this prevents you from lining up your paths so that they don't look stupid. Furthermore, everything else in that game including grids for buildings are based on a width of 4.
SO WHY IS THE QUEUE DEFAULT TO THREE!!!! WHYYYYYYYYYY!! IT IS SO INANE THAT I CAN'T NOT BE ANGRY ABOUT IT. [mad][mad][mad]

1b. make the sizes configurable from 2 to 4 so we can have any size.

2. allow the priority pass line to be a completely separate line from the normal queue.
2b. when making queue shortcuts let me connect the priority pass exit to the path right next to the exit, because I should be able to there's no reason I shouldn't be able to. (this is another inane design decision in my opinion)

3. (This one probably works for paths in general) When connecting a normal path to a grid path that is a square, don't delete the square.

4. let us paint paths? have more range of the angles? don't tell me it can't be done -- your system cleray just defineds tubes that guest can move through -- it doesn't mate what shape it is -- paths don't require arbitrary curves in real life they just switch atrit to that direction at like a 30 degree angle or less. The point is humans aren't cars so i should just be able to say " this area is a path" and that area is a path, and it should be able to take ANY FORM.

If someone from the dev team sees this please tell me for the love of god why you decided to make the ride entrances a width of three.

here is an example of what I think should not happen.
I see no reason for this limitation.

Nice try of asking something nice..... [rolleyes]

I like the way you keep calm and explain it moderatly

But in fact you're right, not to be able to change the size of the entrance also bothered me.

And your picture: the setup would be invalid because there is no space for guests to wait between the priority pass exit und the entrance to the coaster... I guess it's a technical limitation :)

at the time i posted thes i had spent several hours working on a queue trying to get it to look good

there is no space for guests to wait between the priority pass exit und the entrance to the coaster

simply have the guest wait behind the priority pass exit tile then -- or make the line actually merge instead having a big empty space

A thought relating to the priority pass - have you tried using the High Priority option? This can help keep things under control (although it does mean that those on the main queue will wait next to the exit tile.

that's not the problem, the problem is is that I can't place the exit where I want to

Yeah, a separate priority pass queue would be awesome, I never understood why the entrance has to be at the normal queue.

It is working just the way its intended. De priority pass is a way of "skipping" the most of the normal queue. So this way you can decide how much of the normal queue can be skipped. And then you return into the normal line.

And yes, making it directly connect to the station would be easier. Also in that case, I would like to control at which rate people in priority are letten through compared to the peeps in the "normal" queue

I wonder why they didn't let you connect to the station normally -- they must do it differently in in UK. At Valleyfair that have this thing called Fast Lane which either has it's own entrance, or you go up the exit

I don't think it is done differently anywhere. Probably because of the way the game is build this was the best/optimized/less troublesome solution.

It is not according to real life situations, yes, that;s true but it's just a different way of building a fast pass system of which I think works the same.
