Suggestions for Thrillville!

Ok, so I've got Thrillville: Off The Rails on PS2 and I'm loving it. I think the rides, minigames and whoa coasters are totally awesome!

However, I am extremely frustrated with the power meter.
What is the point of it? Please answer...

Is it to make the game more realistic?

To me the whoa coasters are really cool, but they make the game unrealistic.
Also playing as a child is great but it also makes the game unrealistic. So seeing as the game is fairly unrealistic already, why add the annoying power meter?

Is it to make a challenge? To me the power meter is extremely frustrating. I can only build two basic coasters and add a couple of games, stalls and rides. I mean what is the point of having all of the room to place attractions, if there isn't enough power to put more then 3 major items in you park.
To me the power meter isn't a fun exciting challenge, but is rather an annoying burden which seriously effects gameplay.

Suggestion for the next game (if you make one - which I hope you do)
  • Make it compatible with the internet so that you can interact with other Thrillville fans and rate other people's parks.
  • Have day/night, rain, storms, etc
  • MOST IMPORTANT - Get rid of power meter!

Does every game have to be realistic to be fun? No. The power meter is for strategy not to **** you off. Storms and stuff will ruin it, the point of the game is to have fun not to be realistic thats what video games are for to have fun. Now if you want that stuff with no mini-games no socialization and no good music i reccomend Rct 3.

You seem to have misunderstood, I don't mind if the game is unrealistic, infact it adds to the player's creativity. I added the two bolded questions as possible reasons to why the power meter is there...I really think that the power meter restricts the player's creativity.

ANDINO...can you honestly say that you can build 2 resonably sized rollercoasters, 3 rides, 2 games and 2 stalls in each section? There is enough space to build it, but unfortunately not enough power. Oh and Andino please explain to me about "strategy" and the power meter, I'm a bit clueless.

Could the makers of the game, or atleast someone who knows about this tell me why the power meter was added?

{And where did you get the part about no socialisation, good music or mini-games???}

BTW if you look around this forum, you will see that I am not the only player, who is not really happy with the power meter and it's restrictions. If I'm not mistaken you yourself Andino had some complaint about the lack of power.

Hmmm maybe i did misunderstand.....errrr my mistake. Sorry about that. And about the music and etc, Rct doesnt have any of those qualities in my opinion but is still fun if you have the comp to run it although my comp is pretty bad crap :p.
