How about a towing module, allowing a ship rescue, towing ships have to be powerful like a tugboat. And speed and jumprange are affected. Basically a cable. Working in a wing, the stranded or damaged ship can be brought home.
Well, if they do that I hope they think through the griefing potential carefully.
Speaking for myself as a single, individual Fuel Rat, I say "Yes, please!"How about a towing module, allowing a ship rescue, towing ships have to be powerful like a tugboat. And speed and jumprange are affected. Basically a cable. Working in a wing, the stranded or damaged ship can be brought home.
One of the suggestions that came out of a recent discussion about Piracy was a grappling hook.
It would only be useful for bringing an out of control ship (ie if the thrusters were shot out) to a halt, if the 'victim' has thruster control it would break the connection.
It would also be useful for fuel rats, rescuing ships stuck in improbable places etc so it would fulfil the tugboat role provided the ship being towed powered down their engines.
I love that idea. +1One of the suggestions that came out of a recent discussion about Piracy was a grappling hook.
